The Aquarium was a moderate bus ride, probably a couple of miles. It was a
bit dark inside so I didn't take many photos. Here are some anemonies. |

|
And some more. |
 |
This was the best room. We are in a circular area surrounded by a tank, with
sharks circling around. You can just about make one out in this photo. |

|
Outside there were a few open tanks and some novelties like this spherical rock floating on a stream of water. You can rotate the ball very easily even
though it is very heavy. The highlight of outside was a submarine ride. You
climb onto a tank and then down the stairs so that you are about 6 feet
underwater. You are then dragged around a course (like a standard boat ride)
and you can stare out of a little window at the fishes. |

|
When we got back we played on the beach. The tide goes out a long way and
leaves a lot of water behind that slowly seeps back to the sea. I amuse myself
by cutting channels in the sand to redirect this seepage into a stream. You
can then watch the water create meandering streams, cutting into the banks in
one place and silting up elsewhere, just like a real river, only on a lot
shorter time scale. |

|
Again the beach was deserted. |
