First we had to meet someone on the water bus. On the way we
spotted this bridge allowing access to the inner harbour was open. |

The docks were full or trimarans that were something to do with
a Quebec to St. Malo race. Here are three of them. |

Waiting for the bus. We were on French time, they were on
English, so we had a long wait. |

But it arrived eventually. |

So off we set. Cité d'Aleth is the wooded hilltop in the
distance. |

We stopped at Phare beach along the way, for a beer. This beach
is actually on a tidal pool, held back by a large wall, so the water is very
still. Further out are the moorings which can be seen in the next image. |

Looking back you can see the Intra Muros and all the boats
parked at Phare. |

This is the "Tour Solidor" in Cité d'Aleth. We
decided it didn't look worth the admission fee. |

From Saint-Servan Cité d'Aleth you can see Saint-Servan (the
town) and the Eglise Sainte Croix (the church) |

Looking out to see you can see this statue on an island. |

As we walked towards the Eglise we came across this market
selling mostly postcards and nautical junk. I was very popular though. |

The front of the Eglise. |

And the tower. The door was very shut, the entrance is around
to the left. |

Once inside the Eglise is spectacular with numerous shrines
around the outside walls, all incredibly ornate. Here is one of them. |

And another. |

The alter. |

The ceiling and organ. |

And the pulpit. |
